Treatment alternatives include gum contouring or gum lift, orthodontics or using pink porcelain. Gum contouring (gum lift) is a technique that involves the removal of excessive gum to create the correct length to width ratio of the teeth and re-establish the correct smile line, with the top lip resting at or near the gum margin of the teeth when you smile.
